Hornets at Warriors

THE STORY: New Orleans plays the second game of its five-game trip, hoping to improve on a dismal March record. The Hornets are just 4-10 for the month after losing 97-85 on Monday to the Los Angeles Clippers and former New Orleans guard Chris Paul. The Warriors have lost seven of nine since Monta Ellis was traded to Milwaukee, but couldn’t feel too bad in a tough 104-101 loss the Lakers on Tuesday considering three injured starters sat out.

TV: 10:30 p.m. ET, Cox Sports Television (Hornets), CSN Bay Area (Warriors)

ABOUT THE HORNETS (12-37): The Hornets committed an NBA season-high 29 turnovers which led to 35 points by the Clippers, also an opponent season-high. Both teams shot 50 percent from the floor, but the Hornets were just 2 of 11 on 3-pointers. In a 101-92 loss to the Warriors on March 21, the Hornets allowed 14 3-pointers and rookie Klay Thompson scored 27 points. Chris Kaman (illness) has missed the last two games and is day to day. The Hornets have started 18 different lineups.

ABOUT THE WARRIORS (20-28):
The Warriors might not have a choice but to play with a young lineup the rest of the season. Point guard Stephen Curry (sprained right ankle) missed his ninth straight game and likely will not play again this season. Andrew Bogut (fractured left ankle) is unlikely to play as well. Starting center Andris Biedrins (strained right groin) has been a non-factor for weeks and guard Nate Robinson (strained right hamstring) sat out against the Lakers. Rookies Klay Thompson, Charles Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler all started.

BUZZER BEATERS:

1. Hornets guard Jarrett Jack had his first career triple-double against the Warriors last week with 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

2. The Warriors won’t have two consecutive days off for the rest of the season. Golden State completes the first of five back-to-back sets tonight and has one back-to-back-to-back that will kick off with Dallas on April 20.
