Knicks at Bobcats
THE STORY: The Charlotte Bobcats are in danger of posting the worst winning percentage in NBA history when they host New York in their season finale Thursday. With a loss, the Bobcats would finish 7-59 for a winning percentage of .106, surpassing the Philadelphia 76ers club that went 9-73 for a .109 percentage in 1972-73. The Knicks are seventh in the East but could fall to eighth if they lose to Charlotte.

ABOUT THE KNICKS (35-30): The Knicks will hold the No. 7 spot with either a win Thursday or a loss by the Philadelphia 76ers at Detroit. If the Knicks lose and the Sixers win, New York would fall to No. 8 and square off against the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the playoffs. Should the Knicks finish seventh in the conference, they’ll begin the postseason in Miami. Interim coach Mike Woodson doesn't plan on resting his players for the season finale in preparation for either team. "I'm not one to sit guys,” Woodson said after Wednesday’s win over the Clippers. “They gotta tell me that they don't want to play.”
ABOUT THE BOBCATS (7-58): The Bobcats fell 102-95 to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. The loss was the 22nd straight for Charlotte, the fifth-longest losing streak in league history. “We don't want to be the worst team in NBA history,” said point guard D.J. Augustin on Monday. “We know that in the back of our minds going into these next two games.” The Bobcats have dropped 11 consecutive contests on the road and haven’t won anywhere since defeating Toronto at home March 17.
