Pistons at 76ers

After posting a perfect mark during a recent three-game road trip, the Philadelphia 76ers played an imperfect fourth quarter in their return home. Coach Doug Collins' club will look to put forth a better showing on Wednesday, when it welcomes the winless Detroit Pistons to the City of Brotherly Love. Jrue Holiday scored 25 points in Philadelphia's 105-96 setback to Milwaukee on Monday.

Coming up on the short end of the stick is nothing new for the Pistons, who are mired in the worst start in franchise history. Detroit fell apart in the fourth quarter of its game versus Oklahoma City on Monday and dropped a 92-90 decision. The Pistons will play their seventh road game in nine contests this season.

ABOUT THE PISTONS (0-8): Unfortunately for Detroit coach Lawrence Frank, he has been down this road before. The then-New Jersey Nets coach saw his club lose its first 16 games before he was fired during the 2009-10 season. Rodney Stuckey could help Frank secure his elusive first victory as the talented guard has recorded a 15.3-point average in 15 career games versus Philadelphia. Stuckey had a game-high 19 against Oklahoma City on Monday.

ABOUT THE 76ERS (4-3): Despite Detroit's less-than-desirable record, Collins isn't letting his charges look past Wednesday's game. "(The Pistons have) played well enough to win some games, (but) they've had their hearts broken," Collins said. Philadelphia fans received a jolt to their hearts after the team announced that Andrew Bynum will not be able to resume basketball activities until Dec. 10 - and may need four weeks of practice/conditioning before he could play. The offseason acquisition is dealing with complications resulting from a bone bruise in his right knee.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. After a four-game absence, Philadelphia's Jason Richardson returned to the starting lineup and scored 20 points versus Milwaukee.

2. Records aside, Detroit is averaging more points per game than Philadelphia (91.3-89.7).

3. The Pistons snapped a three-game skid to the 76ers by posting a 108-86 victory on April 26.
