Timberwolves at Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs look to continue their winning ways when they host the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. The Spurs have won nine of their last 10 games - including a 107-101 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday - to pull within one game of the Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets in the Southwest Division. San Antonio concluded its four-game road swing with a 3-1 record and hopes to win its fifth consecutive game at the AT&T Center.

The Timberwolves have lost four straight games and seven of their last eight following their 114-112 overtime setback to the Rockets on Friday. Minnesota has yet to beat a team with a winning record and has given up 100 or more points in all but three games this season. Things don't get any easier for the Timberwolves, who have dropped 15 of their last 16 meetings on the road against the Spurs. Minnesota also hopes to avenge a 121-92 home loss to San Antonio on Nov. 21.

Rookie Zach LaVine had one of the best all-around games of his young career, collecting 17 points, six rebounds and four assists while making some clutch shots down the stretch. Mo Williams - who is averaging 10.6 points and 6.7 assists per game - missed Friday's contest with back spasms and joins Kevin Martin (wrist), Ricky Rubio (ankle) and Nikola Pekovic (foot) on the injured list.

Manu Ginobili scored a team-high 17 points - including five 3-pointers - as the Spurs finished 14-of-25 from beyond the arc to snap the Grizzlies' 22-game home winning streak.
