Jazz at Mavericks

The Utah Jazz look to beat Dallas for the third time this season when they visit the Mavericks on Wednesday. The Jazz averaged 115 points while winning the first two meetings with center Rudy Gobert standing out with averages of 20 points, 13 rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots.

Utah has won three straight games and prevailed 96-88 on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies in the opener of a five-game road trip. Jazz small forward Joe Ingles is averaging 23 points on 16-of-26 shooting over the past two games and has three 20-point outings this season. The Mavericks have won two consecutive games and three of their last four after posting a 103-98 road win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday. "We've had a lot of tough losses this year, times where we were close and just couldn't get over the hump, couldn't make the right play," Dallas small forward Harrison Barnes told reporters. "Things are finally starting to come together."

ABOUT THE JAZZ (7-6): Star guard Donovan Mitchell experienced his roughest outing of the campaign in the win over the Grizzlies as he tallied a season-low 12 points on 3-of-14 shooting. Ingles scored a team-high 19 points while Gobert continued his strong season with 15 points and 16 rebounds for his 12th double-double. Gobert is shooting an NBA-leading 72.1 percent from the field, has shot over 70 percent in seven different contests and is 16-for-22 in the two wins over Dallas.

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS (5-8): Rookie forward Luka Doncic tallied just 11 points on 3-of-12 shooting against the Bulls after averaging 23 points over the previous three games. "Sometimes, he's gonna have bad games," veteran point guard J.J. Barea told reporters. "He's still young, and he can't be great every game. So we've got to help him out." Barnes helped pick up the slack with a season-best 23 points - his first 20-point outing of the season - while Barea scored 14 for his third straight double-digit outing.
