Raptors at Wizards

Kawhi Leonard is undoubtedly the headliner, but the Toronto Raptors are far from a one-man show. The Raptors will try to ride their depth to a fifth consecutive victory when they host the Washington Wizards on Sunday.

Toronto placed eight scorers in double figures, including five off the bench, in Friday's 121-105 victory over the Brooklyn Nets as Leonard led the way with 20 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes. Leonard's performance marked the 18th straight game in which he scored 20 or more points and he is averaging 31.8 points in five games this month. The Wizards did Toronto a favor by knocking off the Milwaukee Bucks 113-106 on Friday, giving the Raptors possession of first place in the Eastern Conference while giving themselves a fifth win in seven games. Washington can't match Toronto in quality depth with John Wall (heel) and Markieff Morris (neck) out, but it did have three players score 20 or more points in Friday's triumph.

ABOUT THE RAPTORS (32-12): Toronto's depth and Leonard's mastery are giving All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry the room to ease back into action after missing 10 of 11 games with back and quad injuries, and Friday's win gave him a chance to show off some skills in limited minutes. Lowry, who played 32 minutes in each of his first two games back, logged 23 minutes on Friday and scored just four points but handed out eight assists without committing a turnover. Backup guards Delon Wright, Fred VanVleet and Nick Powell did enough scoring off the bench against Brooklyn, combining for 35 points and 10 assists.

ABOUT THE WIZARDS (18-25): Washington's recent run of solid play is being led by All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal, who rolled up 32 points, seven assists and five rebounds on Friday. The 25-year-old is averaging 28.8 points in six games this month - all since Wall went down for the season. Taking Wall's place in the starting lineup is swingman Tomas Satoransky, who posted his first career triple-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists on Friday while going 2-of-3 from 3-point range as part of a Wizards barrage from long distance that finished with the team 18-of-33 from beyond the arc.
