Pistons at Heat
Detroit's 12-2 stretch was halted due to a dismal performance and the Pistons attempt to rebound when they visit the Miami Heat on Wednesday. Detroit shot a season-worst 27.8 percent from the field and established a season low for points in a Monday's 103-75 road loss against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Pistons' shooting percentage was the lowest in the NBA this season and they scored 19 or fewer points in three of the four quarters. "They came in and whipped us every which way there was," Pistons coach Dwane Casey told reporters afterward "We didn't come out and play. We took a full step back. One day (you're) the pigeon, one day you're the statue. And definitely today we were the statue." Miami is also coming off a shaky performance as it was routed 125-104 by the visiting Toronto Raptors on Sunday. The Heat allowed 21 3-pointers in the contest while seeing a four-game winning streak come to an end.

ABOUT THE PISTONS (34-32): Center Andre Drummond (13 points) and power forward Blake Griffin (10) were the only Detroit players to reach double digits against the Nets with Griffin shooting a woeful 1-of-10 from the field. Drummond collected 20 rebounds for his NBA-leading 55th double-double, including 19 straight to tie the club record held by Hall of Famer Bob Lanier (1974-75). The loss to the Nets began a stretch in which the Pistons (13-19 on the road) play seven of nine away from home.
ABOUT THE HEAT (31-35): Center Bam Adebayo scored in double digits in three straight games while making 20-of-25 shots and was one of the few Miami players to have a solid outing against Toronto. Adebayo scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting and also had six rebounds, five assists and two steals in 27 minutes. Shooting guard Josh Richardson had just eight points on 3-of-10 shooting after reaching double digits in six straight games.
