Celtics 110, Raptors 101
Rajon Rondo returned from a hamstring pull to dish out 14 assists and the Boston Celtics breezed past the Toronto Raptors 110-101 Friday night.
Rondo, who missed the last three games, had 11 assists in the first half as the Celtics took a 58-52 into intermission. Boston was led by Kevin Garnett with 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Paul Pierce and Glen Davis both scored 18.
Boston (12-4) never trailed. They raced out to an 11-2 lead and led by as much as 15 points in the first quarter.
The Celtics built a 21-point lead early in the fourth quarter but the Raptors responded with a long run to cut the deficit to 99-93 but never closer than six the rest of the way.
Toronto (6-10) saw its four-game winning streak come to an end. The Raptors had six players reach double figures led by Linas Kleiza with 18 points. Jose Calderon had 12 points and 15 assists.
