Raptors 98, Nets 92
Andrea Bargnani scored 32 points and the Raptors held on for a 98-92 win over the New Jersey Nets at Toronto on Friday night.
Bargnani, who sat out the Raptors’ last game with a sore knee, sparked a 16-2 second-half run that gave Toronto the lead for good. Jose Calderon also returned to the Raptors’ lineup after missing the past four games and had 15 points and 14 assists.
Toronto opened up an 89-81 lead midway through the fourth quarter. The Nets cut the deficit to two points on three separate occasions but Leandro Barbosa put the game away with a 3-pointer with 14 seconds left to extend the lead to 97-92.
Linas Kleiza had 18 points and 12 rebounds for Toronto (10-17).
Brook Lopez led New Jersey (7-20) with 20 points. The Nets have lost 10 straight on the road.
Sasha Vujacic made his Net debut and scored six points off the bench. Quinton Ross started at forward for New Jersey but left early in the game with a back injury.
