Hedo Turkoglu scored 20 points and Dwight Howard finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds as the Orlando Magic burned the New Jersey Nets 104-88 on Monday.
J.J. Redick added 15 points off the bench and Ryan Anderson chipped in 10 points and 12 boards for the Magic, who have won three straight.
Orlando took control in the second quarter, beginning the frame with an 8-2 run to take the lead and getting a pair of deep 3-pointers from Redick and another from Turkoglu in the back half of the period to take a 51-44 lead into the break.
The Nets came back to take a 57-55 lead on Travis Outlaw’s 3-pointer with 7:35 to go in the third quarter but the Magic jumped right back, ripping off a 26-9 burst to close the quarter and take an 81-69 edge into the fourth.
New Jersey could not muster a challenge down the stretch, allowing Orlando to score the first nine points of the final quarter and put it away.
Devin Harris finished with 24 points and Brook Lopez added 20 for the Nets.
