Suns 104, Nets 103 (OT)

Channing Frye made a 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds left in overtime for his second consecutive game-winning basket as the visiting Phoenix Suns edged the New Jersey Nets 104-103 on Monday.

Steve Nash added 15 assists and 10 points, and Marcin Gortat led four reserves in double figures with 17 points for the Suns (31-27), who have won four straight and eight of 10 to pull within one-half game of idle Memphis for eighth in the Western Conference.

Brook Lopez split a pair of free throws with nine seconds left in overtime to give the Nets a 103-101 lead. Frye, who won Sunday’s game in Indiana with a jumper at the buzzer in overtime, took the inbound pass and hoisted a 3-pointer from the top of the key to put Phoenix on top.

Kris Humphries tipped in Deron Williams’ miss on the other end, but it was ruled to have come after the buzzer.

Anthony Morrow forced the overtime when he was fouled in the act of shooting a 3-pointer by Nash, and hit all three free throws with 2.7 seconds left.

Lopez finished with 28 points, and Williams collected 18 assists and 13 points for New Jersey (17-43), which has dropped six straight.
