Knicks 100, Hornets 92
Amare Stoudemire had 34 points and 10 rebounds as the New York Knicks defeated the host New Orleans Hornets for the fifth straight time, 100-92, on Friday night.
Raymond Felton had 17 points and 13 assists for the Knicks (11-9), who won for the eighth time in their last nine games after starting the season 3-8.
Chris Paul had 17 assists and 10 points while Trevor Arizona had 21 points and nine rebounds for the Hornets (13-6), who are 5-6 in their last 11 games.
New York’s Wilson Chandler finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. His 3-pointer with 6:03 left gave the Knicks their biggest lead at 92-78.
The Hornets scored the first eight points, but the Knicks closed the first half with a 21-11 run to take a 55-53 lead. Stoudemire scored 10 points during the spurt, which was capped by a pair of 3-pointers by Danilo Gallinari.
Stoudemire had 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting and six rebounds in the first half and finished 15 for 22 from the field.
