76ers 88, Hornets 70

Lou Williams scored 17 points off the bench to lead four Philadelphia players in double figures, and the 76ers took advantage of a horrible shooting performance by the New Orleans Hornets in an 88-70 home victory Sunday.

New Orleans (14-9) made just six of 42 shots in the first half and trailed 45-23 at halftime. The Hornets missed their first 12 shots of the second quarter and finished 1-for-22.

Andre Iguodala (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Elton Brand (15 points, 13 rebounds) had double-doubles for Philadelphia, and Jrue Holiday added 12 points.

The Hornets finished with four assists. Chris Paul entered the game averaging more than 10 assists per game, and four Philadelphia players had four or more Sunday.

Paul led the Hornets with 25 points and was 8-for-12 from the field. The rest of the team was 16-for-67 (23.9 percent).

The 76ers (8-15) have won five of their last seven. New Orleans has lost eight of 10 since starting 11-1.
