Jrue Holiday led seven players in double figures with 20 points and Andre Iguodala recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as the visiting Philadelphia 76ers outlasted the Houston Rockets, 114-105, on Wednesday.
Thaddeus Young scored 19 points off the bench and Spencer Hawes collected 17 points and 10 boards for the 76ers, who shot 55 percent to head into the All-Star break with wins in three of their last four.
Kyle Lowry kept the Rockets in it with 36 points on 15-of-18 shooting, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range, but two attempts from long range were off the mark in the final minute and Philadelphia was able to pull away.
The Sixers shot 62 percent (24 of 39) in first half to take a 55-52 lead and held off Houston in the third quarter, extending the lead to 86-78 heading into the fourth.
The Rockets closed to 92-88 on Luis Scola’s layup with 7:48 left but went over three minutes without a point, allowing Philadelphia to extend the advantage to double digits.
