Jrue Holiday scored 24 points and had 12 assists and the Philadelphia 76ers pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 108-97 victory over the visiting Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.
Thaddeus Young came off the bench to score eight of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and fellow reserve Lou Williams added 15 points to lift the Sixers (39-36) to their second straight win.
Kyle Lowry led a balanced attack with 19 points for the Rockets (39-36), who suffered just their second loss in the last eight games.
Kevin Martin scored 18 points, Luis Scola added 17 and Chase Budinger 15 for Houston, which entered the night trailing eighth-place Memphis by two games in the Western Conference.
Williams scored the final five points of the third quarter to give the Sixers an 84-82 lead. Young and Spencer Hawes had four points apiece in a 10-2 spurt as Philadelphia extended the lead to 98-88 with 5:07 left.
