Raptors 127, Wizards 108
Andrea Bargnani and Leandro Barbosa sparked a first-half blitz as the Toronto Raptors kept the Washington Wizards winless on the road with a 127-108 victory on Wednesday.
DeMar DeRozen scored 20 points, Bargnani finished with 18 and Barbosa 16 as the Raptors avenged an earlier 109-94 loss to the Wizards and won for the fifth time in their last seven games overall.
The Raptors put together a 32-8 run bridging the first two quarters to take a 47-29 lead with 9:11 left in the half behind 12 points by Barbosa and 11 by Bargnani.
Toronto closed the half with a season-high 72 points on 66.7 percent shooting (32 of 48) and a 20-point lead. The Raptors pushed the edge to 25 in the third before coasting home.
Toronto first-round pick Ed Davis made his debut after recovering from a knee injury and added 11 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes.
Rookie point guard John Wall, who returned after missing two games with a knee injury, and Gilbert Arenas combined for four points on 1-of-8 shooting and three turnovers in the opening 24 minutes.
JaVale McGee had 21 points and Wall finished with 19 for the Wizards, who dropped their fourth straight and fell to 0-9 on the road – all against the Eastern Conference.
