Bucks 116, Raptors 110 (OT)
Corey Maggette had a game-high 29 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute of overtime, as the Milwaukee Bucks beat Toronto 116-110 Friday to send the Raptors to their 10th consecutive defeat.
Ersan Ilyasova added 25 points and Andrew Bogut chipped in with 24 as the Bucks enjoyed one of their strongest offensive efforts of the season. Averaging just 91 points per game entering Friday, Milwaukee shot 55.3 percent for the game and escaped with the win despite a collapse late in regulation.
After Bogut scored the first six points of the OT session, consecutive baskets by Amir Johnson and DeMar DeRozan cut the deficit to two. A DeRozan layup evened the score, but Maggette answered with a long 3-pointer that bounced around the cylinder before finally rattling in with 43.7 seconds remaining.
Sonny Weems missed a 3-point attempt on the ensuing possession, and the Bucks put the game away with free throws.
Johnson had 24 points and Andrea Bargnani added 23 for the Raptors, who are mired in their worst slump since the end of the 2005-06 season. Jose Calderon contributed 13 points and 10 assists in defeat.
Trailing by double digits early in the fourth quarter, the Raptors slowly chipped away and forced overtime by scoring the final seven points of the fourth quarter. Bargnani had a chance to win the game in regulation, but his long turnaround jumper fell well short as the buzzer sounded.
