Bobcats 95, Raptors 90
D.J. Augustin scored 23 points and Gerald Henderson added 18 points as the Charlotte Bobcats defeated the host Toronto Raptors 95-90 on Sunday.
Augustin scored 14 second-half points as Charlotte (28-38) snapped a five-game road losing streak.
Andrea Bargnani scored 17 points for Toronto (18-48).
Augustin hit two 3-pointers during a 10-0 run in which Charlotte took a 69-56 lead midway through the third quarter.
The Raptors rallied and were within 76-73 after Bargnani’s basket 24 seconds into the final quarter and cut Charlotte’s lead to 84-82 on Leandro Barbosa’s 3-pointer with 6:24 left but could get no closer.
Stephen Jackson and Boris Diaw scored 15 points apiece for Charlotte. Diaw hit 7 of 9 shots.
Barbosa scored 15 points and Reggie Evans had 17 rebounds for Toronto, which shot just 41.8 percent.
The Bobcats led 42-34 with under five minutes to play in the first half before Toronto rolled off 10 straight points, taking a 44-42 lead on DeMar DeRozan’s basket with 2:53 left in the half.
The Bobcats shot 51.5 percent. Augustin made three of Charlotte’s five 3-point baskets.
