Clippers 100, Bulls 99

Blake Griffin went off for 29 points and 12 rebounds and Eric Gordon added 15 points as the Los Angeles Clippers picked up their second road win of the season, 100-99, over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

Baron Davis chipped in 16 points and seven assists and Craig Smith finished with 13 points off the bench for the Clippers, who have won back-to-back games for only the second time this season.

The Bulls ended the game on an 8-1 run and had a chance to force overtime with no time left when Derrick Rose was fouled. Rose hit the first free throw but missed the second and DeAndre Jordan pulled down the rebound to end the game.

Los Angeles took control in the second quarter, opening the frame with a 20-8 burst to pull into the lead. Griffin had six points and four assists during the spurt. Smith poured in eight points during the second, knocking down a pair of free throws at the end to send the Clippers into the break up 61-53.

Rose finished with 34 points, eight assists and six rebounds for Chicago, which was playing its first game without Joakim Noah after the center underwent surgery on his thumb.
