Bulls 95, Pistons 92 (OT)
Carlos Boozer had 31 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 95-92 overtime victory over the host Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
Derrick Rose added 23 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists as Chicago (19-10) won for the 10th time in 12 games.
Tayshaun Prince had 17 points and six assists for Detroit (10-20).
The Pistons had a chance to force a second overtime but Charlie Villanueva’s last-second 3-point shot was off the mark.
The Bulls squandered an 11-point lead after three quarters as the Pistons scored the final seven points of regulation, forcing overtime on Villanueva’s tip-in within 0.6 seconds left.
Detroit had a chance to take the lead in the overtime but Rodney Stuckey missed a short shot with six seconds left. Chicago’s Kyle Korver hit two free throws with 3.9 seconds remaining for the final margin.
Stuckey scored 16 points for the Pistons, who had a two-game winning streak snapped. Tracy McGrady and Richard Hamilton tallied 15 points apiece and Villanueva had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
