Warriors 101, Bulls 90

Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry combined for 56 points and harassed Derrick Rose all night as the host Golden State Warriors knocked off the red-hot Chicago Bulls 101-90 on Saturday night for their third straight win.

Ellis finished with 33 points, five assists and four steals and Curry added 23 and eight assists as the Warriors used a 36-11 run that started midway through the third period to take an 89-74 lead with about six minutes left in the fourth

Carlos Boozer had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who were trying to match their season high of seven straight wins in the second of a five-game Western Conference road trek. Rose was held to 14 points, his fewest since Dec. 15. He missed nine of his 15 shots and committed a career-high nine turnovers. Golden State turned it over just seven times.

The Warriors’ guard tandem scored 11 points during a 20-7 burst to close the third with a 73-72 lead. Ellis scored the first eight Warriors points in the fourth and Curry added six as Golden State scored 16 of the first 18 points of the frame to construct an 89-74 lead.

The Bulls opened the third quarter by making 8-of-9 shots during a 16-3 spurt that gave Chicago a 65-53 lead.
