Bulls 94, Hawks 76

Derrick Rose had 34 points and the host Chicago Bulls held the Hawks to just 26 points in the second half of their 94-76 victory over slumping Atlanta on Friday.

The Bulls (46-18) were playing without Carlos Boozer (sprained left ankle), but they barely missed him in winning their fifth straight.

Joe Johnson had 16 points and Josh Smith added 15 for the Hawks (37-28), who have dropped five straight and now failed to break 80 points in their last four.

Rose struggled shooting, making just 9 of 24 shots (2 of 9 on 3-pointers), but he went 14 of 15 from the free-throw line. Luol Deng, also limping with a bruised left thigh, pitched in 18 points for the Bulls.

The Hawks managed just 10 points in the third quarter, when they went scoreless for seven minutes and shot just 4 of 15 for the quarter.

Kurt Thomas had 13 rebounds and Joakim Noah pulled down 11 boards as Chicago outrebounded Atlanta 50-28.
