Timberwolves 116, Pistons 105
Kevin Love collected 20 points and 20 rebounds for his 48th consecutive double-double as the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves got the better of the Detroit Pistons, 116-105, on Wednesday.
Anthony Randolph added 19 points and 10 rebounds off the bench and Jonny Flynn chipped in eight points and 14 assists for the Timberwolves, who improved to 5-25 on the road.
The Pistons were within four points, 93-89, with 10 minutes left when Minnesota took over, ripping off a 14-2 burst to push it to 107-91 with under five minutes left. It was the bench doing much of the damage during the spurt, with Lazar Hayward scoring seven points and Flynn adding four.
Detroit went 1 of 10 from the floor during the run.
The Pistons tried to get back into it with six quick points to cut it to 111-101 with 1:54 left but the damage had been done.
Greg Monroe recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds and Austin Daye scored 22 points for Detroit.
