Pacers 95, Lakers 92
Roy Hibbert scored 24 points and the Indiana Pacers withstood a furious rally by Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers for a 95-92 victory at Staples Center on Sunday night.
Bryant scored 41 points and had the Lakers' final 15 points in the third quarter, but missed a tying three-pointer with 9.9 seconds left in the game and the Lakers (13-4) lost their second in a row.
Hibbert also had 11 rebounds for the Pacers. Danny Granger scored 18 and Darren Collison added 14 for the Pacers (8-7).
T.J. Ford made it 93-88 with 1:30 left in the contest. Bryant pulled the Lakers to 93-90 with 1:07 left, and Pau Gasol's two free throws with 34.1 seconds made it 93-92.
Hibbert made it 95-92 with slam with 16.4 seconds left.
Lamar Odom had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Gasol had 13 points and 12 rebounds.
