Wizards 104, Pacers 90
Nick Young scored 25 points and Andray Blatche added 22 as the Washington Wizards snapped a three-game losing streak with a 104-90 victory over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
The game was tied at 44 at halftime, but the Wizards went on a 12-3 run capped by a driving layup by rookie John Wall midway through the third quarter to take a 60-54 lead. They never trailed again.
Washington led, 72-67, after three quarters and took control with an 11-3 surge to start the fourth period. Wall’s driving layup gave the Wizards their largest lead, 89-72, with 6:35 to play.
Indiana (13-17) got no closer than eight points thereafter.
Wall had 10 points and 12 assists for Washington. Mike Dunleavy led the Pacers with 20 points.
Washington (8-22) was without coach Flip Saunders, who missed the game due to a family emergency involving his mother. Assistant Randy Wittman coached in his place.
Wizards guard Kirk Hinrich left the game early in the second quarter with a bruised left thigh and did not return.
