Timberwolves 101, Pacers 75

Kevin Love had 16 points and 21 rebounds for his 52nd consecutive double-double as the Minnesota Timberwolves routed the visiting Indiana Pacers, 101-75, on Wednesday.

Love surpassed Moses Malone (1978-79) for the longest double-double streak since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976. Love also has 13 20-rebounds game this season.

Michael Beasley also scored 16 points for Minnesota (16-50), which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Tyler Hansbrough had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana (27-37), which has lost five straight games and seven of eight.

The Timberwolves led, 50-40, at halftime, then went on a 10-0 run over the first three minutes of the second half. The lead reached 30 on Anthony Tolliver’s 3-point basket with 6:31 to play.

Love already had a double-double before the midway mark of the second quarter.

Indiana shot just 29.6 percent from the field. Leading scorer Danny Granger suffered through a miserable performance, hitting just 2 of 19 shots – missing all nine 3-pointers – while scoring 10 points.

Tolliver and Anthony Randolph scored 14 points apiece and Luke Ridnour had 13 points for the Timberwolves.

A.J. Price added 13 points for Indiana.
