Pacers 114, Hawks 102
Danny Granger scored 28 points and Darren Collison added 16 points and 10 assists as the Indiana Pacers snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Atlanta Hawks with a 114-102 victory Friday night.
Roy Hibbert finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds while Tyler Hansbrough scored 13 for Indiana (37-43), which was coming off a 136-112 victory over Washington on Wednesday that locked up its first playoff spot for the first time since 2004.
Jeff Teague led Atlanta (44-35) with 21 points off the bench and Joe Johnson scored 17 in the Hawks’ first loss to Indiana since Nov. 18, 2008.
The Pacers built a 33-26 lead in the opening quarter. They took their largest advantage at 76-63 on Granger’s 3-pointer with 3:47 left in the third.
Indiana dominated the paint, winning the rebounding battle, 49-36.
The Hawks, who have secured the Eastern Conference’s No. 5 seed, were without forward Josh Smith because of a knee injury as they dropped their third straight.
