Bucks 94, Timberwolves 88
Brandon Jennings had 27 points and seven assists, and Corey Maggette added 20 points off the bench as the Milwaukee Bucks squeezed out a 94-88 victory over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Carlos Delfino chipped in 13 points and nine rebounds for the Bucks (22-34), who stayed within 3½ games of Indiana in the race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Kevin Love collected his 43rd straight double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds, and Michael Beasley scored 21 points for Minnesota (13-44), which fell to 4-25 on the road.
Maggette snapped a 69-69 deadlock with a jumper at the 9:59 mark of the fourth quarter and followed a Minnesota turnover with another jumper to push it to 73-70.
The Bucks would stretch the lead to as much as 87-80 when John Salmons knocked down a 3-pointer with 4:33 left.
The Timberwolves crept back to within 89-88 on Luke Ridnour’s jumper with two minutes left, but Jennings drained five free throws over the final 1:16 to keep Milwaukee clear.
