Hawks 107, Clippers 98

The trio of Joe Johnson, Josh Smith and Jamal Crawford combined for 75 points, and the Atlanta Hawks cooled off the Los Angeles Clippers in the second half for a 107-98 road win Sunday at Staples Center.

Johnson led the Hawks with 29 points, Crawford added 24 off the bench and Smith had 22 points and 10 rebounds for his seventh double-double in nine games.

Clippers rookie Blake Griffin finished with 31 points and 15 rebounds for his 21st consecutive double-double, the third-longest streak in the past decade.

But the Clippers (10-24) didn't have much more to get excited about in the second half. After shooting 61 percent from the field in the first half, Los Angeles shot 34 percent after halftime to finish at 46 percent for the game.

Leading scorer Eric Gordon had just 10 points for the Clippers, well below his season average of 23.8 points per game.

Atlanta (22-14) shot just 31 percent in the first half but warmed up in time to finish at 45 percent.

The Hawks topped 100 points for the first time in their past 12 road games. They had averaged 86.2 points in their last nine on the road, seven of which were losses.

The Clippers had won five of six before opening their current five-game home stand with consecutive losses.
