Lakers 104, Hawks 80
All-Star Game MVP Kobe Bryant had 20 points and the Los Angeles Lakers snapped their three-game losing streak with a 104-80 victory over the visiting Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
The Lakers (39-19) seemed refreshed after the All-Star break and a return from a sour road trip in which they lost consecutive games to Orlando, Charlotte and Cleveland.
Bryant was 8 of 8 from the line as the Lakers made 34 of 40 free throws. Pau Gasol had 14 points and 10 rebounds, Andrew Bynum had 15 rebounds and reserve Shannon Brown scored 15 for Los Angeles.
All-Star guard Joe Johnson scored 14 points, Al Horford had 13 and Jamal Crawford 12 for the Hawks (34-22), who were 1 for 15 on 3-pointers.
The game was essentially over in the first quarter as the Lakers shot 66.7 percent and limited the Hawks to 37.5 percent shooting en route to a 28-15 lead.
The Lakers increased their advantage to 54-33 at halftime, and led by as many as 29 in the fourth quarter.
