Hawks 90, Trail Blazers 83
Jamal Crawford scored 23 points in a reserve role as the Atlanta Hawks earned a 90-83 road victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.
Crawford hit four 3-pointers and went 9 for 10 from the free-throw line to pace the Hawks (36-23), who broke out to a 12-point halftime lead and withstood a spirited fourth-quarter rally by the Blazers (33-26).
Joe Johnson added 22 points while Josh Smith chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.
Andre Miller's 20 points led Portland, which managed just 49 points over the first three quarters before finally coming alive over the final 12 minutes. LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 points while Gerald Wallace had nine off the bench in his first game since coming to the Blazers in a trade with Charlotte earlier in the week.
Atlanta led by 18 points with less than five minutes remaining before a Wallace 3-pointer sparked a 14-2 Portland run. Crawford answered by rattling off seven straight points for Atlanta, restoring the double-digit lead with under a minute to go.
