Nuggets 102, Hawks 87

Nene scored 20 points and Wilson Chandler added 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets won their fourth straight game with a 102-87 victory over the host Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

J.R. Smith and Arron Afflalo scored 15 points apiece as Denver (41-27) won for the 10th time in 12 games. Ty Lawson added 10 assists.

Zaza Pachulia had 19 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to pace Atlanta (39-29).

The Hawks led 34-22 in the second quarter before the Nuggets got into gear with a 9-0 run. Afflalo’s basket with 2:48 left in the half gave Denver a 38-36 lead en route to a four-point halftime advantage.

The Nuggets went ahead by nine points entering the final quarter before the Hawks pulled within 72-69 on Pachulia’s layup with 10:07 to play. But Denver outscored Atlanta 21-8 over the next six minutes to put the game away.

Kenyon Martin added 12 points for the Nuggets, who were 7-of-14 from 3-point range.

Josh Smith and Jamal Crawford scored 13 points apiece for Atlanta.
