Heat 96, Bobcats 82
LeBron James tied a season high with 38 points and Dwyane Wade added 31, leading the Miami Heat to their sixth straight win Monday night, a 96-82 victory over the Charlotte host Bobcats.
James and Wade shared Eastern Conference Players of the Month for December, announced earlier Monday. James made 15-of-26 shots and had nine rebounds with five assists, while Wade had 11 rebounds.
Chris Bosh scored 11 points for Miami (27-9), which has won 11 consecutive road games and 18 of 19 overall.
Stephen Jackson scored 22 points for Charlotte, which again played without second-leading scorer Gerald Wallace, who re-injured his ankle in practice Sunday. Wallace missed five games with the injury earlier this season.
Charlotte held a 39-32 lead midway through the second quarter before Miami closed the first half with a 15-4 run. The Heat never trailed in the second half.
D.J. Augustin scored 16 points for the Bobcats (11-21). They are 2-2 under interim coach Paul Silas, who replaced Larry Brown last week.
