Spurs 125, Heat 95

Sparked by the surprise return of point guard Tony Parker, the San Antonio Spurs played a flawless first quarter and and buried a franchise-record 17 3-pointers in routing the visiting Miami Heat 125-95 on Friday night.

Parker was expected to miss two-to-four weeks with a calf injury, but sat out for only two games. San Antonio (51-11), which never trailed, hit 8-of-11 3-pointers and led 36-12 after one quarter.

The Heat (43-19), who blew a 24-point lead in a home loss to Orlando the night before, have lost three in a row and four of five. LeBron James led Miami with 26 points. Dwayne Wade scored 19 points and Chris Bosh added 17.

Parker had 15 points and eight assists in 23 minutes. Seven other players were in double figures for the Spurs. Manu Ginobili led San Antonio with 20 points while Matt Bonner scored 18, hitting 6-of-7 3-pointers.

Miami cut the lead to 62-50 at halftime, but any chance of a comeback ended when San Antonio regained control in the third quarter. The Spurs, who have won 22 straight at home, built the lead to 82-58 with five minutes left in the period.

Tim Duncan, Richard Jefferson and George Hill added 11 points each, and DeJuan Blair had 10 in the win.

Miami center Erick Dampier was ejected in the third quarter for a flagrant two foul when he shoved Parker in the back with two hands while the Spurs guard was driving to the basket in the third quarter.
