Trail Blazers 105, Heat 96

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points, and Gerald Wallace had 22 points and nine rebounds as the visiting Portland Trail Blazers defeated the struggling Miami Heat 105-96 on Tuesday.

Brandon Roy and Andre Miller added 14 points apiece as Portland (37-27) won its seventh straight road game - longest road streak since 1991. It was the Blazers' fourth straight game and 11th in 14 contests.

Dwyane Wade scored 38 points, and LeBron James had 31 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for Miami (43-21), which lost its fifth straight.

There wasn’t any last-second drama for the Heat this time as Portland took a nine-point lead on Wesley Matthews’ 3-pointer with 1:34 to play. Miami’s lowest deficit in the final minute was seven points.

Portland went on a 12-3 run in the fourth quarter after Wade tied the game at 77 on a dunk 27 seconds into the period.

Rudy Fernandez hit the go-ahead 3-point basket and Wallace had five points during the spurt, including a three-point play that gave the Trail Blazers an 89-80 lead with 6:58 to go.

Miami responded with a 9-2 run to pull within 91-89 on James’ dunk with 4:35 remaining, but Portland went on its own 9-2 run to take a 100-91 lead on Aldridge’s basket with 2:07 left.

Chris Bosh scored seven points on 3-of-11 shooting for the Heat, who missed two shots in the final seconds of their 87-86 loss to Chicago on Sunday.
