Heat 110, Spurs 80
The Heat’s Big Three matched the Spurs in points and Miami avenged a 30-point loss to San Antonio 10 days ago with an equally convincing 110-80 victory over the visiting Spurs on Monday.
Chris Bosh had 30 points and 12 rebounds, Dwyane Wade had 29 points and nine rebounds, and LeBron James had 21 points, six rebounds and eight assists as the Heat won their third straight and pulled within two games of Boston and Chicago for first in the Eastern Conference.
The Heat lost to the Spurs 125-95 on March 4 in San Antonio, but smothered the Spurs defensively Monday, and held them to one basket in the first three minutes of the fourth quarter. When James hit a jumper with just under nine minutes left, the Heat lead was 87-65 and the rout was complete.
Tony Parker had 18 points and Tim Duncan scored 14 for the Spurs, who lost for the second time in their last seven games. San Antonio shot 38 percent from the floor and was outrebounded 47-33.
