Dwight Howard collected 22 points and 20 rebounds as the Orlando Magic used a big second half to pull away from the Los Angeles Clippers for a 101-85 home victory Tuesday.
Jameer Nelson added 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting and Ryan Anderson scored 13 for the Magic, who had dropped three of four.
Orlando’s last eight victories have come over teams with sub-.500 records. The Magic have not beaten a team with a winning record since a 117-107 victory at Dallas on Jan. 8.
The Clippers, who have dropped four straight and fell to 0-3 on their 11-game road trip, led by four at the half and were up, 53-48, with 7:39 left in the third period when Orlando took control, ripping off a 13-0 spurt over the next four minutes.
Los Angeles battled back to tie it at 70-70 early in the fourth quarter before the Magic went on a 12-0 burst to pull away. Orlando outscored Los Angeles, 35-20, in the fourth quarter.
Baron Davis recorded 25 points, eight assists and eight rebounds and All-Star rookie Blake Griffin posted his 10th straight double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds for Los Angeles.
