Nuggets 114, Wizards 94
Chris Andersen had a season-high 17 points and 11 rebounds in 21 minutes as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Washington Wizards 114-94 on Friday for their ninth straight victory at home.
Danilo Gallinari, Ty Lawson and Al Harrington added 17 points apiece for the Nuggets (44-29), who improved to 12-4 since they traded Carmelo Anthony to New York and remained four games behind Oklahoma City for fourth in the Western Conference.
Jordan Crawford scored 19 points and JaVale McGee had 13 rebounds for the Wizards (17-54), who are 1-34 on the road. Rookie John Wall, who scored a career-high 32 points against the Clippers on Wednesday, was held to 13. Nick Young, Washington's leading scorer, returned after missing five
games with a knee injury and had 10 points on 4-for-15 shooting in 33
minutes.
If Washington loses its final six away games, it would match the 1990-91 Sacramento Kings for the worst record in an 82-game season.
The Nuggets have won seven straight over Washington in Denver, and have the second best home record among West teams at 30-7, including 14-1 against the East.
Denver led by as many as 25 in the first half after Gallinari's second straight 3-pointer made it 57-32 with 2:31 left. The Nuggets led 64-45 at halftime.
Washington could only get as close at 13 late in the third quarter.
