Spurs 115, Rockets 107
Tony Parker scored 21 points and Tim Duncan hit the go-ahead basket late as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the host Houston Rockets 115-107 on Saturday.
Manu Ginobili added 19 points as San Antonio (54-12) had eight players score in double figures.
Kevin Martin scored 28 points and Courtney Lee contributed 16 for Houston (33-34).
Duncan’s basket with 1:09 to play gave the Spurs a 109-107 lead. He added two free throws with 30.8 seconds remaining, and Antonio McDyess and Ginobili each hit a pair as San Antonio pulled away.
DeJuan Blair had 14 points and nine rebounds and George Hill scored 14 points for the Spurs.
Houston never led until Jordan Hill’s dunk gave the Rockets a 67-66 edge midway through the third quarter. The Spurs rebounded to take an 81-74 lead on Gary Neal’s hoop with 51 seconds left but Houston finished the quarter with eight straight points, including Kyle Lowry’s last-second 3-pointer to take an 82-81 lead.
McDyess had 12 points and 12 rebounds for San Antonio. Duncan finished with 11 points and Richard Jefferson and Neal added 10 apiece.
