Manu Ginobili scored 26 points and Tony Parker had 23 as the visiting San Antonio Spurs handed the Utah Jazz their sixth straight loss, 112-105 on Wednesday night.
Ginobili added seven assists and six rebounds and Parker had six assists as the Spurs (39-7) won for the 10th time in their last 11 games.
Deron Williams scored 29 of his season-high 39 points in the second half and added nine assists while Al Jefferson had 22 points and nine rebounds for Utah (27-19). Williams and Jefferson were a combined 26-of-39 from the field.
After Williams’ driving layup with 4:45 left in the third quarter brought Utah to within 76-67, San Antonio went on a 10-0 run led by four points from Parker and a 3-pointer by Richard Jefferson. Utah responded with an 11-2 spurt to end the period sparked by six points from C.J. Miles.
The Jazz closed to 107-103 on Miles’ reverse layup with 31 seconds left, but the Spurs made 5-of-6 free throws to seal it.
The Spurs got 27 points from the point guard position in the first half en route to a 58-49 lead as Parker scored 14 on 7-for-9 shooting and backup Gary Neal added 13.
