Trail Blazers 107, Nuggets 106 (OT)

LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points and 14 rebounds, including the go-ahead free throws with 23 seconds left in overtime, to give the host Portland Trail Blazers a 107-106 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

Danilo Gallinari scored a career-high 30 points and had nine rebounds, and Wilson Chandler had 20 points for the Nuggets (34-26), who fell to 2-1 since trading Carmelo Anthony to New York.

Gallinari had a chance to win it, but his 3-pointer went around the rim with two seconds left. After the loose rebound was knocked out of bounds, Arron Afflalo missed a desperation 3-pointer from the corner.

Portland blew a 10-point halftime lead and trailed by as many as 11 in the fourth quarter before Brandon Roy scored 10 points in the final 3:26, including a 3-pointer with five seconds left to make it 97-97 and send it into overtime.

Roy played his second game after missing the previous 30 following arthroscopic surgery on both knees, and had 18 points in 24 minutes as the Trail Blazers (33-25) moved into a tie for sixth with the Nuggets in the Western Conference.

Gerald Wallace, acquired from Charlotte on Thursday, did not play, and is expected to make his Portland debut Sunday against Atlanta.
