Suns 128, Timberwolves 122

Jason Richardson scored 29 points and Channing Frye added 21 points on seven 3-pointers to lead the host Phoenix Suns to a 128-122 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

The Suns made 15-of-27 3-pointers, including seven in the decisive fourth quarter in which they erased a 102-95 deficit.

Grant Hill scored 21 points for the Suns while Steve Nash had 19 assists and 11 points. Phoenix (12-12) snapped a three-game losing streak and beat Minnesota for the sixth consecutive time.

Minnesota (6-20) fell to 1-14 on the road. It has lost five of six and 11 of 13 overall.

Kevin Love had 23 points and 16 rebounds for Minnesota. Corey Brewer scored 20 points while Michael Beasley added 17.

Minnesota built a 102-95 lead with 8:21 remaining before Phoenix took over with its hot shooting. Frye hit four 3-pointers while Jared Dudley hit two, helping Phoenix build a 119-108 lead with 3:11 to play.

Minnesota cut the margin to four on two occasions but could get no closer.
