Grizzlies 91, Spurs 88

Zach Randolph had 25 points, including the pivotal 3-pointer late in the game as the host Memphis Grizzlies downed the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs 91-88 Saturday night.

The win gives the underdog Grizzlies a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, with Game 4 set for Monday night in Memphis.

With the Grizzlies up by two in the final minute, Randolph buried a long 3-pointer to put Memphis up 91-86. Manu Ginobili hit a pair of free throws for San Antonio, and Randolph missed a long jumper with six seconds remaining that would have made it a two-possession game.

The Spurs gained possession but had no timeouts left, and Ginobili was unable to get a final shot off after getting trapped in the corner with the ball.

Marc Gasol had 17 points and nine rebounds for the Grizzlies while Mike Conley added 14.

Ginobili paced the Spurs with 23 points while Tony Parker added 16 and Tim Duncan had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Parker, Ginobili and Duncan kept the Spurs in the game after they went into the second half trailing by double digits. The veteran trio scored 18 of San Antonio's 24 points in the third quarter as the Spurs trimmed the deficit to 71-66 entering the fourth.

A 6-0 stretch capped by a George Hill cut the Memphis lead to two, and Ginobili evened things up by converting a three-point play with eight minutes left. The Grizzlies went back in front on a Gasol jumper and fended off several San Antonio challenges down the stretch.
