Russell Westbrook scored 40 points, including the go-ahead basket early in the third overtime, as the Oklahoma City Thunder recorded an exhilarating 133-123 victory over the host Memphis Grizzlies on Monday to even up the Western Conference semifinal series 2-2.

Kevin Durant scored six of his 35 points in the third overtime and grabbed 13 rebounds as fourth-seeded Oklahoma City recovered from an 18-point first-half deficit to notch a memorable triumph.

Zach Randolph had 34 points and 16 rebounds, and Marc Gasol had 26 points and 21 rebounds for the eighth-seeded Grizzlies.

Game 5 is Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

Memphis reserve Greivis Vasquez hit a 3-pointer with 9.4 seconds left to force the second overtime after Oklahoma City led by seven with less than two minutes remaining.

The Thunder led by 10 points midway through the final quarter before the Grizzlies staged a similar rally and tied the score on Mike Conley’s 3-pointer with 3.5 seconds left in regulation.

James Harden had 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Oklahoma City, which didn't lead until Westbrook’s layup with 5:15 left in the third quarter.

O.J. Mayo scored 18 points, Conley had 16 and Vasquez 14 for Memphis. Mayo and Conley fouled out.
