Grizzlies 95, Thunder 83
Zach Randolph had 30 points and 13 rebounds, and the Memphis Grizzlies evened their Western Conference semifinal series at three games apiece with a 95-83 victory over the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
O.J. Mayo added 16 points and the Grizzlies recovered from a 13-point first-half deficit to force a seventh game Sunday in Oklahoma City.
Russell Westbrook scored 27 points to lead the Thunder while Kevin Durant had only 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting.
Shane Battier’s last-second 3-pointer at the end of the first half sparked the Grizzlies’ comeback and reduced Oklahoma City’s lead to 54-44.
Memphis began the second half with a 15-5 run to tie the game at 59 on Randolph’s basket with 5:19 left in the third quarter. The Grizzlies took the lead for good on two free throws by Darrell Arthur with 1:15 to go in the period.
Randolph scored 12 points in the final quarter. His two free throws with 5:13 left gave Memphis an 84-75 advantage and the lead reached 11 on Mike Conley’s layup with 1:59 to play.
James Harden scored 14 points for Oklahoma City, which scored only 29 points in the second half.
