Thunder 105, Grizzlies 90

Kevin Durant bounced back from a poor outing to contribute 39 points and nine rebounds and the Oklahoma City Thunder advanced to the Western Conference finals with 105-90 victory over the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.

James Harden scored 17 points and Russell Westbrook added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists in the Game 7 victory for fourth-seeded Oklahoma City, which opens the conference finals on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Mike Conley scored 18 points and Zach Randolph had 17 points and 10 rebounds for eighth-seeded Memphis.

Durant scored just 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting as the Thunder were drubbed in Game 6 by the Grizzlies. He had no such troubles Sunday, making 13 of 25 shots, including four 3-point baskets.

Durant had 13 points in the third quarter as Oklahoma City used a 17-4 run to break open a close game and take a 16-point lead on Harden’s 3-pointer with 55.1 seconds left in the quarter.

Oklahoma City’s lead was between 13 and 17 points for the first nine-plus minutes of the fourth quarter. Durant’s fast-break dunk with 2:33 left boosted the advantage to 97-78 and both teams soon cleared their benches.

Nick Collison grabbed 12 rebounds for the Thunder.

O.J. Mayo added 14 points for Memphis, which won seven games this postseason, including four while upsetting top-seeded San Antonio in the opening round.
