Nuggets 91, Bucks 86

Danilo Gallinari scored a season-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Al Harrington added 17 points as the Denver Nuggets rallied for a 91-86 victory over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.

Ty Lawson tallied 16 points for Denver (4-2), which was playing for the third straight night and fifth time in six nights.

Stephen Jackson scored 17 points and Carlos Delfino had 14 for Milwaukee (2-2), which was playing the first of five straight road games.

The Bucks had a chance to force overtime but Brandon Jennings missed a 3-point shot with about seven seconds left. Gallinari then hit two free throws with 5.3 seconds remaining.

The Nuggets trailed by six entering the final quarter but held Milwaukee to 12 points on 5-of-22 shooting over the final 12 minutes.

The Bucks led 81-76 after Andrew Bogut’s left-handed hook shot with 8:34 to play before Denver rolled off 10 straight points. Gallinari made back-to-back baskets to give the Nuggets a one-point lead and Harrington followed with two straight dunks to make it 86-81 with 4:01 remaining.

Milwaukee used an 11-4 run to close the third quarter, with Delfino’s 3-pointer enabling Milwaukee to take a 74-68 lead into the final period.

Denver played without Nene, sidelined with a bruised foot.
