Clippers 117, Rockets 89

Blake Griffin had 22 points and nine rebounds and Chris Paul had 20 points and 10 assists as the Los Angeles Clippers rolled past the visiting Houston Rockets for a 117-89 victory Wednesday night.

The Rockets (2-4) are 0-4 on the road and lost for the second consecutive night at Staples Center after falling Tuesday to the Lakers.

The Clippers (3-2) shot 47 of 81 (58 percent) and the Rockets 35 of 76 (46.1 percent)

Chauncey Billups had 13 points in his return after missing two games with a groin strain. Randy Foye scored 16 and Caron Butler 11.

Kyle Lowry led Houston with 17 points, Kevin Martin had 14 and Luis Scola 12. Chandler Parsons had 11 points and eight rebounds in 23 minutes.

The Clippers increased their 67-55 halftime lead to 79-59 three minutes into the third and the Rockets never got back in it.

The Rockets were missing swingman Courtney Lee (calf muscle) so Goran Dragic and Terrence Williams saw more playing time. Dragic had nine points and Williams scored eight.

Clippers center DeAndre Jordan saw his streak of 18 consecutive games with a block come to an end.
