Rockets 82, Bobcats 70
Rookie Chandler Parsons scored a career-high 20 points and the Houston Rockets recorded their first road win of the season with an 82-70 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday.
Houston (3-6) used runs late in the second quarter and early in the third to take control in breaking a four-game losing streak.
Byron Mullens scored 15 points to lead the Bobcats, who have lost four in a row.
The Rockets scored 10 straight points to break a 33-all tie and led 43-39 at halftime. Houston then scored the first seven points of the second half to take an 11-point lead.
The Rockets dominated the third quarter and led 67-53 going into the final period.
Charlotte cut the margin to 71-66, but Parsons hit a 3-pointer and followed with a jumper to give Houston a 10-point lead with 1:59 remaining.
Kyle Lowry, Houston's starting point guard, returned after missing the previous two games with a bruised right foot. He scored six points with eight assists and 11 rebounds.
Kevin Martin scored 17 points for Houston.
