Bulls 114, Cavaliers 75
Carlos Boozer had 19 points and 14 rebounds and the Chicago Bulls won their second straight without reigning MVP Derrick Rose, 114-75 at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Rose was scratched again during pregame with a sprained toe, but the Bulls didn’t need him.
C.J. Watson had 15 points and seven assists in his place, and the Bulls’ smothering defense limited the Cavs to 30 percent shooting and a season low in points.
Anderson Varejao had 14 points and top overall pick Kyrie Irving had 13 and three assists, but sat the entire fourth quarter since the game was already out of hand.
The Bulls scored the final nine points of the first quarter, the last 10 of the second and enjoyed a 13-0 run late in the third to put the game out of reach. They led 85-61 after three quarters.
Luol Deng had 21 points and eight rebounds, Richard Hamilton had 13 points and Joakim Noah had 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who improved to 3-1 with Rose out of the lineup.
